7 : 0 0 P M The whole day I was pretty excited, I mean Rachel was one of my best friends growing up. We did everything together, summer camp, art classes, yearbook layout, you name it, we did it. Rachel showed up at around 7:30. She apologized but, the company car that was supposed to meet her at the airport never showed up. I arrived at the Soho Grand Hotel at around 7pm. I told her it didn't matter, it was so good to see her again! She looked fantastic, I mean really good. She told me I hadn't changed a bit. Not a bit. I told her about art school in Chicago, and how I moved here to get a fresh start. That I planned on freelancing to finance my art work until I could support myself solely on my work. She told me about her design firm in L.A. I couldn't believe how successful she was. Little Rachel Thomas, senior designer at one of L.A.'s top graphic design firms. It's really amazing how much she has accomplished since high school.
